Hopefully you were able to attend the baseball game with SBA,\nand if not hopefully you heard that there was a relatively nice size turn out\nof both faculty and students. This is the goal of SBA this year – more\ninclusion!<\/strong> We are currently planning this year’s Barrister\u2019s Ball and\nhave heard from part-time, evening, and trial team members that Saturday night\nworks best for these groups. We would like to set a date that is not too close\nto midterms and finals weeks. We are also aware that if Barrister\u2019s was moved\nto the Spring semester, it would rob those graduating in December 2019 a chance\nto attend. So with that in mind, an early November Saturday evening seems to be\nthe best date for the greatest turnout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, we are aware that the Hilton in Fairlawn (the location of\nBarrister\u2019s last year) was far for some people. We have vetted Akron venues and\nfound that Tangier\u2019s is in our price range and is closer to downtown\nAkron. We spoke with Tangier\u2019s and they know we ran out of food a few\nyears ago there so this shouldn\u2019t be an issue again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
