This is a two-year appointment\nthrough June 30, 2021 for a 1L or 2L law student who is in good standing.&nbsp;\nThis unique and valuable opportunity provides the Associate Student Director a\nchance to become involved in alumni leadership and activities with the Law\nSchool.&nbsp; The Associate Student Director works with the Student Director to\nrepresent Akron Law students to the LAA Board and works with the Student\nDirector and Board to identify ways in which students and alumni may work and\ncommunicate together for the benefit of both groups.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Associate\nStudent Director serves in an ex-officio capacity and is expected to attend all\nBoard meetings which are held at the School of Law on a bi-monthly basis\nthroughout the academic year (i.e., August, October, December, February, and\nApril).&nbsp; The Board meetings begin at 4:30 p.m., and generally last for one\nand a half hours.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Associate\nStudent Director is also expected to assist with the class gift campaign. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications\nfor the 2019-2020 Associate Student Director to the LAA Board should include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>why\nhe or she wants to serve on the LAA Board;<\/li><li>why\nthe student believes that he or she should be selected for the position;<\/li><li>a\ncopy of the student\u2019s resume; and,<\/li><li>a\nproposed plan for the year ahead. &nbsp; <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The LAA Board\u2019s executive committee will review the application materials and select students will be invited by Friday, October 11 to interview.\u00a0 The interviews will take place the week of October 14 &#8211;
