This is a full-time position and regular hours of\nwork and days are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; however, this\nposition may require some evening and weekend work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Salary:&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;$44,844\/yr\nnon-negotiable&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Duties:&nbsp;<\/strong>Under\ngeneral supervision, performs various administrative and clerical duties to\nensure smooth operation of the Court; assists in the maintenance and execution\nof the Court calendar; performs courtroom duties required by Judge; based upon\nindividual qualifications, may perform other tasks requested by Judge. Performs\nother related duties as required and may be cross-trained to assist with other\ndepartmental duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION: The\nfollowing duties and responsibilities are normal for the position. These are\nnot to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties and\nresponsibilities may be required and assigned. 1. Screens incoming calls and\nprovides assistance or direction; contacts attorneys, assignment office, court\nreporters, Clerk of Courts, Sheriff Department, etc., to relay or gather\ninformation for Judge; opens, reviews and sorts incoming mail (e.g., pleadings,\nmotions, journal entries, attorney fee applications and related\ncorrespondence); accesses and updates SCORS (Summit Court Online Record\nSystem). 2. Assists in the maintenance and execution of the court calendar;\nmaintain and update civil and criminal record cards; files, distributes and\nmails signed journal entries; retrieves and returns files from file room; files\ndocuments per judge\u2019s requirements. 3. Based upon individual qualifications,\nmay perform other tasks such as legal research, preparing legal memoranda,\nanswering legal questions as the Judge requires. 4. May perform other tasks\nrequested by the Judge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications: <\/strong>Any\ncombination of training, work experience, or equivalent, that indicates\npossession of the skills, knowledge, and abilities listed below. An example of\nan acceptable qualification for this position is: Education &amp; Related Work\nExperience: As appropriately determined by Judge based upon duties and\nresponsibilities. Knowledge, Skills, &amp; Abilities: As appropriately\ndetermined by Judge based upon duties and responsibilities. Operation of a\nvariety of standard and complex office equipment, typing, personal computer\noperation, including but not limited to Windows based programs\/Microsoft Office\nproducts\/Internet applications, use of SCORS (developed after employment).\nPhysical Ability: The physical demands described here are representative of\nthose that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential\nfunctions of this job. The employee\nis regularly required to use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools or\ncontrols and to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. This position\nrequires alertness and attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
