In 1978 the Howard Fox Memorial Law Scholarship Fund was established by Helen and Richard Fox and Friends to honor the memory of their son who, as a proud member of the Berks County Bar Association, served as a young attorney in the Public Defender\u2019s Office. In 2000, the Howard Fox Memorial Law Scholarship Fund was transferred to the Berks County Community Foundation to manage and administer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The scholarship supports graduates of Berks County, Pennsylvania, high schools who will be entering an accredited law school or who are currently attending an accredited law school to pursue a law degree. Preference will be given to students entering their second year of law school; however, all applicants meeting the criteria are encouraged to apply. Previous recipients of a scholarship from this fund may reapply in a future year – as long as they will still be in law school – and will be considered along with the other applicants; but previous recipients will not receive preferential treatment.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n Please refer eligible students to our web site, https:\/\/bccf.academicworks.com<\/a>, to apply on-line for the Howard Fox Memorial Law Scholarship.
