Dear Akron Law students, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are very pleased to announce that The University of Akron\nSchool of Law and CSU Cleveland-Marshall College of Law have agreed to\ncross-register eight courses for the Fall 2020 semester. This\ncross-registration will afford our respective students the opportunity to\nenrich their academic experience by having the option to take a course offered\nby one of the law schools and not offered by the other. The two schools will\nuse existing University cross-registration agreements to offer a limited number\nof courses at each school to all students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are four additional courses available to you this Fall\nthrough this new collaboration. The cross-registration courses are listed\nbelow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n AKRON LAW<\/strong>\n <\/td>CSU CLEVELAND-MARSHALL<\/strong> <\/td><\/tr>
International Intellectual Property Advocacy Practicum (3 cr.)<\/strong> <\/td>HIPAA & Privacy (3 cr.)<\/strong> <\/td><\/tr>
Juvenile Law (3 cr.) <\/strong> <\/td>Healthcare Compliance I (3 cr.)<\/strong> <\/td><\/tr>
Second Amendment (2 cr.) <\/strong> <\/td>White Collar Crime (3 cr.)<\/strong> <\/td><\/tr>
Trademark Clinic (2 cr.)<\/strong> <\/td>Corporate Compliance (3 cr.)<\/strong> <\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n\n\n\n

All of these courses will be offered remotely this semester.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students will register with their home institutions but will\ntake the courses offered at the designated institution. Tuition and fees will\nbe paid to the home institution. Any student enrolling in one of these courses\nat the school will not pay additional tuition or fees at the other school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Any Akron Law student interested in taking one of the four courses listed above should complete the attached form<\/a> and submit it to Dean Janoski-Haehlen at ejanoskihaehlen@uakron.edu<\/a>, copying Director Misty Franklin at misty@uakron.edu<\/a>, by August 21. Seats in these courses are limited, and students will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At a time when innovative partnerships have never been more\nimportant, we see this as an opportunity to leverage the curricular strengths\nof both law schools and to expand curricular opportunities for our law\nstudents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
