In recognition of his many contributions to the law school\u2019s intellectual property law program, the school\u2019s Intellectual Property Advisory Council\u00a0created the Richard L. Aynes Writing Competition<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 This competition is open to all students enrolled at The University of Akron School of Law.\u00a0 Each participating student will be required to submit a paper (minimum of 10 pages) on a constitutional aspect of intellectual property law.\u00a0 Students may submit original papers written specially for the competition, or\u00a0papers already written to meet their GWR requirement, for the Akron Intellectual Property Journal,<\/em> or for a course grade.<\/p>\n

A panel consisting of Professors Aynes and Samuels will select the best paper.\u00a0 The author of such paper will receive a $500 cash award.<\/p>\n

All papers must be submitted on or before February 10, 2012<\/strong>.\u00a0 The award will be presented at the March 20th meeting of the Intellectual Property Advisory Council.<\/p>\n
