This program is intended to engage law students interested in addressing systemic and institutional sources of inequality and injustice.&nbsp;All students are eligible to apply. This is a change from previous years. We will be accepting five students entering law school in 2021 and filling open positions in the 2L and 3L+ classes.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Goals of the Program are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Building Community<\/span>&nbsp;among like-minded students<\/li><li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Mentoring and guidance&nbsp;<\/span>from faculty and from other Fellows<\/li><li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Exposure<\/span>&nbsp;to community organizations and leaders involved in working for social change.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Fellows will commit to as many as three hours per week devoted to related activities. During their time as fellows, students may engage in the following activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Meet regularly.<\/li><li>Help to research, plan and execute programs and initiatives.<ul><li>Work with community partners.<\/li><li>Lead student discussion forums.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Complete a Social Justice Project before graduation.<\/li><li>Annual interview with the Director regarding professional goals and pathways.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply, please complete the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/akron.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_eM2boInnaprYelo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online application<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Applications must be completed by midnight on Sunday, August 29th, 2021.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Finalist interviews will be conducted the week of August 30th, 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We expect that Fellows will be announced by September 3rd, 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Questions?
