The scholarship is offered twice each year and provides $1,000 to one student per semester to assist with educational expenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must have suffered a serious injury or have a parent who suffered a serious injury, such as a major fracture, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or amputation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate program within the United States.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be at least 17 years old.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be a citizen of the United States.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Completed online scholarship application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Documentation proving enrollment or intent to enroll in a college or university.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proof of the injury.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A 500-word essay describing the impact of the injury on the applicant\u2019s life, how they responded to it, and what changes it has forced them to make in daily life.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Essay should be attached in .docx format.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applications must be submitted through the scholarship application page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For more information, visit the website at: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southernmarylandlawfirm.com\/scholarship\">https:\/\/www.southernmarylandlawfirm.com\/scholarship<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Scholarship Amount: $1,000 Application Deadline: January 4, 2027 Overview: The Farmer &amp; Klopfer Road to Recovery Scholarship supports students who have suffered a severe injury or whose parent has suffered a major injury.
