\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>AkronLawJobs Job No. 3298 – Westlake, OH \u2013 Legal Intern \u2013 Nordson Corporation, Corporate Law Department<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Duties:<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0To perform legal research and draft legal memorandum on a variety of corporate legal topics including, but not limited to, labor and employment, trade compliance, international legal topics, general corporate matters and intellectual property.\u00a0\u00a0 Perform due diligence tasks on merger and acquisition projects such as summarizing material contracts and other document review related tasks.\u00a0 Perform basic contract review under attorney supervision.\u00a0 Prepare power point presentations on legal topics.\u00a0 Coordinate and manage miscellaneous projects as assigned.\u00a0 If necessary, assist on litigation discovery tasks under attorney supervision.<\/p>\n

Requirements and Preferred Qualifications<\/span><\/strong>:\u00a0 <\/strong>Enrollment in an ABA accredited law school; Top 25% class rank preferred; 3.0 minimum G.P.A.; Second year students preferred, but will consider first year students who have completed legal research and writing; Intermediate to proficient level of experience with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and Power Point); Experience with Lexis Nexis and\/or Westlaw and other online legal research sources; Prior corporate experience helpful but not required (i.e., human resources, accounting\/finance, etc.); Excellent written and verbal communication skills required<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Position Specifics<\/span><\/strong>:\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Minimum of 30 hours\/week beginning mid-May and ending mid-August; must be flexible to work additional hours as required.\u00a0 Position may be converted to part-time work in fall of 2012.\u00a0 Pay:\u00a0 $25\/hour.\u00a0 Please note that this summer position is not likely to result in full time employment upon graduation.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
