One student receives the award per college semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Eligibility Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You or your family must have been significantly affected by incarceration, domestic violence, and\/or addiction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be enrolled or planning to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate program in the United States for the Spring 2027 semester<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be at least 17 years old<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Application Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Submit an application through the OVC Scholarship Network<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write an essay of approximately 750 words responding to: \u201cHow has overcoming adversity shaped your character, and how have you transformed these experiences into opportunities for growth and personal development?\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use your own authentic writing; the scholarship page asks applicants not to use AI to write their essays<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information, visit the website at: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texasdefensefirm.com\/scholarship\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.texasdefensefirm.com\/scholarship<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Scholarship Amount: $1,000 Application Deadline: March 24, 2027 Overview: Texas Defense Firm offers the Comeback Scholarship to support students who have been significantly affected by incarceration, domestic violence, or addiction in their own lives or within their families.
