{"id":970,"date":"2013-04-04T21:19:14","date_gmt":"2013-04-04T21:19:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/liblog\/?p=970"},"modified":"2013-04-04T21:22:14","modified_gmt":"2013-04-04T21:22:14","slug":"alcts-continuing-education-webinar-archives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/liblog\/2013\/04\/04\/alcts-continuing-education-webinar-archives\/","title":{"rendered":"ALCTS Continuing Education Webinar Archives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Association for Library Collections &amp; Technical Services (<a title=\"ALCTS\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ala.org\/alcts\/\" target=\"_blank\">ALCTS<\/a>)<\/span> routinely offers one hour continuing education webinars on a variety of topics including cataloging, preservation, and institutional repositories to name a few.\u00a0 After 90 days of original broadcast, these webinars are made freely available in the <a title=\"ALCTS past webinar archive\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ala.org\/alcts\/confevents\/past\/webinar\" target=\"_blank\">ALCTS webinar archive<\/a> and on the <a title=\"ALCTS YouTube Channel\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/alctsce\/\" target=\"_blank\">ALCTS YouTube Channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Included are several introductory level webinars on Resource Description and Access (RDA), the new rules and guidelines for creating cataloging recordings that will be fully adopted by the Library of Congress at the of the month.\u00a0 Those wanting to know more about the standard may be interested in the <a title=\"RDA for the non cataloger\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ala.org\/alcts\/confevents\/upcoming\/webinar\/cat\/103112\" target=\"_blank\">RDA for the Non-Cataloger webinar from Oct. 2012<\/a>.
