Members of a list can be unsubscribed by the owner of a list or can unsubscribe themselves from a list by sending a command – by email – to the list system.
- Open up a new email message.
- In the TO: field, enter sympa@lists.uakron.edu
- In the subject line enter: unsubscribe NAME-OF-LIST (Substitute your list for NAME-OF-LIST in the subject line.)
- Remove any text and email signatures from the body of the message
- Send your email
You’ll be removed from the list and will get a confirmation note from the system. The list owner(s) will also be notified.
Note that some UA lists are updated automatically based on the member’s roles. You may not be able to remove yourself from some of these lists as long as you have that role assigned to you.
