Biography

Dr. Z.H. Duan (senior personnel, trainer) joined the Department of Computer Science at The University of Akron in Fall 2001 and is a Professor of Computer Science in the College of Engineering and Polymer Science. She has been teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science and developed courses in data science and machine learning including Applied Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, and Graph Analytics. Dr. Duan graduated 2 PhD and 21 MS students. Many of her students worked on cross discipline machine learning research. And she served as a member of many graduate committees. Dr. Duan has been a faculty member in the integrated bioscience Ph.D. program.
