NSF awardees and proposers will no longer be able to reach out to Sponsored Projects Offices (SPO) to reset their passwords on both FastLane and Research.gov; instead, they can reset their own password. <em>Please note that this implementation was rescheduled from Monday, July 25, due to a power outage which caused all servers to shut down.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>To reset passwords, awardees and proposers can go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.research.gov\" target=\"_blank\">www.research.gov<\/a> and click \u201cLog In,\u201d then \u201cForgot Password.\u201d After entering their NSF ID and clicking, \u201cSend Temporary Password,\u201d they will be able to reset their passwords using the temporary password sent to their email address on file.<\/p>\n<p>To learn more about Research.gov\/FastLane password modernization, including accessing a getting started guide and FAQs, please click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.research.gov\/research-portal\/appmanager\/base\/desktop?_nfpb=true&amp;_pageLabel=research_node_display&amp;_nodePath=\/researchGov\/Service\/Desktop\/AboutPasswordResetPage.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You can also find helpful Research.gov information by clicking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.research.gov\/common\/robohelp\/public\/WebHelp\/Research.htm#Welcome_to_the_Research_gov_Help_System.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Help<\/a> in the top right-hand corner of Research.gov or on FastLane, by clicking the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fastlane.nsf.gov\/NSFHelp\/flashhelp\/fastlane\/FastLane_Help\/fastlane_help.htm#welcome_to_the_fastlane_help_system.htm\" target=\"_blank\">FastLane Help<\/a> in the top right-hand corner of the homepage.
