The program supports research projects that develop new knowledge in the theory of computing; algorithm design and analysis; design, verification, and evaluation of software systems; and revolutionary computing models based on emerging scientific ideas.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/funding\/pgm_summ.jsp?pims_id=503427&amp;org=NSF&amp;sel_org=NSF&amp;from=fund\" target=\"_blank\">Algorithms for Threat Detection<\/a><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong> February 21, 2017<\/p>\n<p>The Algorithms for Threat Detection (ATD) program will support research projects to develop the next generation of mathematical and statistical algorithms for analysis of large spatiotemporal datasets with application to quantitative models of human dynamics. The program is a partnership between the Division of Mathematical Sciences (DMS) at the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the\u00a0National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA).<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/funding\/pgm_summ.jsp?pims_id=503489&amp;org=NSF&amp;sel_org=NSF&amp;from=fund\" target=\"_blank\">Software Infrastructure for Sustained Innovation<\/a><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Deadline:<\/strong> February 21, 2017<\/p>\n<p>Scientific discovery and innovation are advancing along fundamentally new pathways opened by development of increasingly sophisticated software. Software is also directly responsible for increased scientific productivity and significant enhancement of researchers&#8217; capabilities.
