Future of Self-Care\u201d to enable consumers to do more, feel better and live longer.\u00a0 We are actively seeking to establish strategic partnerships with start-ups and entrepreneurs who are equally passionate about delivering against this mission.\u00a0 The way consumers treat, diagnose and engage with their health is dramatically shifting and we want to partner with breakthrough thinkers so that we can jointly improve lives.<\/p>\n<p>To drive this mission to enhance our current key, over-the-counter and consumer product brands, we are currently seeking new opportunities in Technologies &gt;&gt;<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h1><\/h1>\n<h1>Award<\/h1>\n<p>There is a maximum of US$50,000 available for cash prizes.\u00a0 The Competition will award up to five (5) US$10,000 prizes to the winners across the three Topics.\u00a0 The Challenge sponsor may also explore funding or other support of an Entry for further development and\/or commercialization.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>Timeline<\/h1>\n<p>Launch: October 22, 2018<\/p>\n<p>Webinar: 10:00 am EST on November 27, 2018<\/p>\n<p>Submission Deadline: January 31, 2019 by 5:00 pm EST<\/p>\n<p>Winners Announcement: March 2019<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>Eligibility<\/h1>\n<p>The following types of approaches are not eligible:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Approaches that are only at concept level of technology readiness<\/li>\n<li>Technologies that do not align with product categories above<\/li>\n<li>Business to Business (B2B) service models<\/li>\n<li>Ways of running clinical trials or scientific studies to allow for product claims<\/li>\n<li>Approaches that require a prescription or visit to a medical doctor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional ineligible approaches are documented in each Challenge Topic Summary document.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>Success Criteria<\/h1>\n<p>The Challenge sponsor will judge each submission against the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How thorough and concise is the description of problem, solution approach, and business model<\/li>\n<li>Effectiveness of the approach to address Topic<\/li>\n<li>Extent to which approach addresses a consumer need<\/li>\n<li>Creativity and originality (more than a \u201cme-too\u201d offering, clear differentiation to other products already on the market)<\/li>\n<li>Technology maturity (a solution in a later stage of maturity receives a better score)<\/li>\n<li>Ease of implementation (clear and tractable path to manufacturability or supply and deployment to market)<\/li>\n<li>Potential to transfer the solution to other scenarios<\/li>\n<li>Likelihood to be economical at consumer product price point<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Minimum Requirements that apply to all Challenge Topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You must already be working on your approach. (Preferably the technology readiness of your approach is at the prototype phase (proof-of-concept stage), or later)<\/li>\n<li>Your approach has a clear business model and value proposition<\/li>\n<li>You have protected intellectual property (either by patent or as proprietary information)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1><\/h1>\n<h1>Submissions<\/h1>\n<p>You must complete and submit the online response form by January 31,\u00a02019 at 5:00 PM ET.\u00a0 You will be able to upload supplemental documents with your response.<\/p>\n<p>In your concise, non-confidential response you should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Describe your technology innovation and:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 its working principle<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 its alignment with Topic Key Attributes and with Challenge Evaluation Criteria<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 its unique benefits compared to existing solutions already in the market<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 your business model and value proposition<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Discuss the results of any testing you have done (safety, consumer, efficacy, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Describe steps, activity, estimated budget, and timeline to reach commercial scale<\/li>\n<li>Discuss the status of the intellectual property related to your approach<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Who owns the related IP<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Your assessment of
