Research areas, programs and initiatives eligible for funding pursuant to this Request for Proposal (RFP) include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Research Areas:<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Research regarding the reduction of infant mortality<\/li><li>Research regarding opiate addiction issues in Ohio<\/li><li>3. Research and programming regarding the advancement of cybersecurity initiatives in Ohio<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Program and Initiatives<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Ohio Manufacturing and Innovation Center<\/li><li>I-CORPS@Ohio program<\/li><li>Ohio Innovation Exchange<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important Dates:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Request for proposals released &#8211; September 18, 2019<\/li><li>Proposal submission window &#8211; September 18, 2019 &#8211; October 18, 2019<\/li><li>Proposal review begins &#8211; October 19, 2019<\/li><li>Notificaions of awarded proposals &#8211; beginning November 18, 2019<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Request for Proposal period is now open. The Third Frontier Research Incentive Request for proposal can be accessed at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohiohighered.org\/grants-rfps\">https:\/\/www.ohiohighered.org\/grants-rfps<\/a>.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note, Section 381.250 of house bill 166 also includes as focus areas \u201cResearch regarding the improvement of water quality\u201d and \u201cResearch regarding spinal cord injury.\u201d The request for proposal process for Improvement of Water Quality will administered by the Ohio Sea Grant program at The Ohio State University <a href=\"http:\/\/Ohioseagrant.osu.edu\">Ohioseagrant.osu.edu<\/a>. The Water Quality Request for Proposals is expected to be released by September 30, 2019.
