The Department of Health and Human Services wishes to support new investigators conduct small research projects that can give insight into topics that will benefit the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) or the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI). This grant is more specifically stated to support investigators that are from diverse backgrounds and may fund different types of projects, such as small, self-contained research, secondary analysis of existing data, development of research methodology, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Independent school districts, Private institutions of higher education, Public housing authorities\/Indian housing authorities, Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments), County governments, City or township governments, Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, Small businesses, Special district governments, For profit organizations other than small businesses, Public and State controlled institutions of higher education, Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), State governments, and others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
