{"id":857,"date":"2010-06-03T14:07:50","date_gmt":"2010-06-03T18:07:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/springboard\/?p=857"},"modified":"2014-02-03T14:10:13","modified_gmt":"2014-02-03T18:10:13","slug":"you-can-edit-the-course-offering-name","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/springboard\/2010\/06\/you-can-edit-the-course-offering-name\/","title":{"rendered":"You can edit the Course Offering Name."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left\">The official \u201cCourse Offering Name\u201d is displayed in the list of available courses and at the top of the classroom screen for both instructors and students. \u00a0By default, this contains the name and section number of the course.\u00a0 Because the information is imported from PeopleSoft, the name is often truncated or some of the words may be abbreviated.\u00a0 \u00a0You can provide clarity by revising this information. Simply click on the <em>Edit Course<\/em> link in the upper right corner of your online classroom, and then select the top link <em>Course Offering Information<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">If you teach the same course for more than one semester, I also recommend that you include semester information at the end of the title.
