The University of Akron Women’s Club (UAWC) is open to all women employees and female spouses of employees of the University of Akron. Membership is open to all full-time, part-time or retired female employees as well as females who share an interest in UAWC activities and are sponsored by a current UAWC member. We are primarily a social organization that promotes social, informational, and service opportunities for our members. While having fun, our collective objective is to raise funds for UA student scholarships. For the 2023-24 academic year, UAWC is pleased to have awarded two $2,000 scholarships. Program events are held monthly during the school year. Please join us! These are opportunities to make new friends while seeing and enjoying old friends. Activities vary from year to year but always include a general meeting in the fall and another in the spring semester. Elections for the following year’s officers are held during the spring general meeting.
