Wooster Community Hospital,\nChamber of Commerce, West Hill Nursing Home, Aultman Orrville Hospital, UA\nCampus Cupboard, and others recipients are receiving community-made supplies\nthat are out-of-stock elsewhere.&nbsp; Face shields\nare important for medical staff, protecting them from bodily fluids as they\nhelp infected or potentially infected patients.&nbsp; There are numerous\n\u201cframe\u201d designs that can be downloaded and 3D printed.&nbsp; The makerspace\ncommunity tried many of them, ultimately modifying an existing design to\nspeed-up production, have a better fit, easier assembly.&nbsp; Different\nmaterials were tried for the clear protective shield including acrylic\nsheeting, overhead transparencies, and others.&nbsp; While many get into 3D printing\nvia the vast repository of objects on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thingiverse.com\/\">Thingiverse.com<\/a>,\ndid you know that it\u2019s easy to design your own stuff?&nbsp; A kid friendly CAD\ndesign program called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tinkercad.com\/\">TinkerCAD.com<\/a> is\nperfect for all ages.&nbsp; It\u2019s web based (no program to install) and kid\nfriendly (objects are made with simple building blocks like cubes and\nspheres).&nbsp; At the past Maker\nFaires, he built a Peltier cooled cloud chamber for observing subatomic\nparticles.&nbsp; Not one to take a break, Elliott is now working on a Muon\nTelescope using 30 geiger counters in a 5&#215;6 matrix to observe the occurrence\nand direction of muons. &nbsp;A Muon is an elementary particle, meaning it has\nno internal structure or is not made up of anything else. It is one of the\nbuilding blocks of the protons in the nucleus of an atom and therefore is very small,\nyet its mass is much greater than an electron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.uakron.edu\/waynec3\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1058\/2020\/05\/finished-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12879\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A line or path of high energy cosmic ray muons can be more\nindicated by a straight line of illuminated LEDs&nbsp;
