Wayne College Library Expands Curbside Service

The library is now offering appointments for curbside library pickup and dropoff during these hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

All curbside service appointments will be scheduled by prior arrangement. Please follow these instructions for requesting materials for curbside pickup:

  1. Using the UA Libraries catalog, place holds on the materials you would like and select the location “Wayne College Curbside” from the pickup location drop-box.
  2. When the items are available for pickup you will be contacted via your UA email address to arrange an appointment for curbside service.
  3. Arrive and park at the main entrance in the semi-circle drive at your designated appointment time. Call the library (330-684-8789) or send us a text (330-551-5275) to announce your arrival.
  4. A library staff member will bring your items out to your car.

Please follow these instructions for curbside returns:

  1. Email the library and request an appointment for curbside returns.
  2. A library staff member will contact you and make an appointment.
  3. Arrive and park at the main entrance in the semi-circle drive at your designated appointment time. Call the library (330-684-8789) or send us a text (330-551-5275) to announce your arrival.
  4. The library staff member will come to your car to retrieve your returns.
  5. Items returned will immediately be quarantined for the required 7 days upon return. These items will remain on your library account until they are checked in after quarantine. Do not be alarmed that your items remain on your account: the materials will be “back-dated” upon being discharged from your record.

Curbside pickup and dropoff will now take place in front of the main classroom building in the semi-circle drive.

Please note:

  • It now takes longer to exchange materials between libraries due to the need to quarantine items. All items received from other libraries will be quarantined for 7 days before being circulated to our patrons. This is for your safety and the safety of our library staff. Please plan ahead when requesting materials.
  • Returned items will remain on a patron’s card during the 7-day quarantine. Items will be “back-dated” when checked in so that no fines will be accrued during the quarantine.
