She was a good example for the members to follow. Never married, Huber had a career and, at the same time, she carried on her civic obligations.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Akron in 1893, Huber worked as a stenographer.<\/p>\n<p>She spent her free time with the women&#8217;s clubs and organizations of Akron. In this, she was following the lead of her mother Rachel. Both were members of the Women&#8217;s Council of Summit County.<\/p>\n<p>Huber dedicated most of her civic activities to children and young women. She served as superintendent of Trinity Lutheran Church&#8217;s elementary department and served as president of the Young Women&#8217;s Missionary Society. But Huber was best known because of her involvement with the Young Women&#8217;s Christian Association.
