My research interests include cybersecurity and privacy issues in mobile and networked systems, Internet-of-Things (IoT), AI/ML-powered wireless and mobile systems, emerging wireless networks, mobile sensing, dynamic spectrum sharing, mobile crowdsourcing, cyber-physical systems, etc. My overall goals are to make the networked systems resilient to a variety of attacks by investigating the vulnerabilities in the systems, protecting the sensitive information of system devices and participants, and promoting security and privacy by design.
Current research:
– User and device authentication in IoT systems
– AI/ML-powered security and privacy solutions in large-scale IoT sensing systems
– Security and privacy in UHF RFID systems
– Attacks and defenses in cross-technology wireless networks
– AI/ML-powered attacks and defenses in wireless and mobile systems
– Secure IoT communications for smart cities
– Secure and privacy-preserving edge/cloud computing in mobile and IoT sensing systems
