The University of Akron: College of Engineering and Polymer Science (CEPS)<\/strong> has been the primary source of funding for our team. After our budget meeting with faculty from CEPS, the decision was made to grant the UA VTOL $9,000.00 for the 2024\/2025 academic year. This would not be possible without CEPS. Phalanx Robotics Design Team<\/strong> is a VEX U robotics team. Students on Phalanx work together to construct robots to compete in intense two versus two elimination brackets all over the country, all while learning about the engineering design process, coding, communication, manufacturing, teamwork and more. eCalc<\/strong> is the most widely used online calculator tool for RC applications and is extremely helpful when calculating values that go into the design of a VTOL. Engineering Consultants Group (ECG)<\/strong> is a progressive engineering firm focused on process control, testing, monitoring, analysis, and custom software development. Corsair Model Aircraft Club (CMAC)<\/strong> is a local aerial RC modeling club. They are a designated FRIA (FAA-Recognized Identification Area) which allows testing and flight of RC aircraft without the need for remote ID equipment. The president of the club, John Ashley, has been extremely helpful in a variety of areas. He has provided us with prototype equipment and access to the flying field. These contributions helped expedite the research required to succeed at competition. John also generously contributed $1,000.00 to the team. Event 38 Unmanned Systems<\/strong> designs and manufactures fixed-wing VTOL drones in Richfield, Ohio. Since 2011, They have sold over 600 drones to businesses, governments and NGOs all around the globe. Their drones capture geo-tagged data for a range of industries and applications. They generously gifted UA VTOL with carbon fiber propellers. These propellers are lighter weight, more energy efficient, and more expensive when compared to plastic APC propellers.
