The Akronauts are a student design team at The University of Akron focused on developing innovative designs to excel at the collegiate rocketry level. A few of our projects are launching multi-stage rockets, spaceshot rockets, and developing a liquid-fueled rocket engine that can throttle and gimbal. We are the team of firsts!

Our number one goal as a team is to give our members applicable skills which can be used in the workplace. Every groundbreaking project is another step in that direction. Our members are in high demand with many employers such as Northrop Grumman, NASA, Relativity, Blue Origin, SpaceX, and more. Why? Because we build some of the most impressive collegiate rockets in existence!
