Main Purpose: Daland Fellowships fund research in the areas of internal medicine, neurology, pediatrics, psychiatry, and surgery. Patient-oriented research is emphasized.
Benefits:
- Annual Stipend of $40,000
Time Limit: Fellowship term is one year with the possibility of a one year renewal.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Hold an M.D. or Ph.D for fewer than 8 years
- Preference given to those with fewer than two years post-doctoral training and research
- United States Citizen or foreign national
- Must perform research at an institution in The United States
- Direct patient contact required
- Must be nominated by department chairman in a letter providing assurance that the nominee will work with the guidance of a scientific advisor
