New officers elected by University Council
At their Sept. 14 meeting, members of University Council elected a new slate of officers. Dr. Philip Allen, interim director of research administration and immediate past chair of University Council, called the meeting to order and conducted the election of the UC chair.
- Dr. Tonia P. Ferrell was appointed by acclimation as the new chair. She was the only person nominated and will serve a two-year term. Ferrell is director of prospect development and campaigns in the Department of Development, and had served as secretary of University Council for several years.
- Jeanette Carson, Director of Audio Visual and Distance Learning Services, was elected as vice chair.
- Dr. Kristine Kraft, an associate professor and interim director of the School of Allied Health, was elected secretary.
