As a practicing attorney I have handled criminal as well as civil cases in
many different areas of the law. I have tried both criminal and civil
cases to juries. I have served as Mahoning County Court Judge since
2000.
(3) Why are you running for this particular court seat?
I believe that the Court of Appeals is a very important bench. It is not an
entry level position. I have 18 years of judicial experience as a trial
court judge. I have presided over many jury trials both civil and criminal.
I believe that this experience is invaluable at the appellate court level. I
will be able to understand the view of the trial court as I review their
decisions. I believe that I am the only candidate with this experience
which makes me uniquely qualified in this election.
