(1) List your judicial experience (courts and years):
I began my service as a Judge in the Franklin County Court of Common
Pleas in January 2013. During this time I have presided over more than
60 jury trials, dozens of bench trials, and thousands of cases to
resolution. I also serve on the Court’s Personnel, Technology, and
Veterans’ Services Committees and am the Vice Chair of the Ohio State
Bar Association’s Judicial Administration & Legal Reform Committee.

(2) What about your non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a
judge?
Prior to becoming a Judge, I spent 17 years with the law ×rm of Bricker
& Eckler LLP in Columbus, Ohio. At Bricker & Eckler, I started as an
Associate in 1995 and became a Partner in 2003. My practice included
complex litigation matters, primarily in the fields of construction
litigation, eminent domain, annexation, and medical malpractice. I tried
cases in various county common pleas courts in the State of Ohio as
well as in federal court. I was also involved in the firm’s pro bono
efforts, including providing pro bono legal services and acting as one of
the firm’s pro bono coordinators.

(3) Why are you running for this particular court seat?
Serving as a Judge in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas has
been a tremendous honor. I recognize that it is also a tremendous
responsibility. As a Judge, it is my job to safeguard each party’s right to
efficient, fair and impartial relief from the Court. It is also my obligation
to know the law, follow the law and render opinions that are well
thought out and timely. Finally, it is my role to assure that the
courtroom is a place where all parties and their counsel are treated
equally and with dignity and respect. I humbly seek the opportunity to
continue to serve the citizens of Franklin County in this important
function.
