aliAli Rifat Boynuegri received the B.S., the M.S. and PhD degree in electrical engineering from the Yildiz Technical University, in 2008, 2010, and 2014, respectively. His master work focused on wind turbines grid connection problems and doctoral work focused on electric vehicles grid connections. Currently, he is a postdoc at  Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Akron. Before joining the University of Akron, he work as a research assistant in Yildiz Technical University for 6 years.  His research interests are electric vehicle systems, smart grid, alternative and renewable energy sources, fuel cells, power quality, harmonic filter design and mitigation techniques, static var compensators (SVC and STATCOM), flexible ac transmission systems (FACTS).

 

Sadik Sadik Ozdemir received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical and electronics engineering, mechatronics engineering from Yeditepe University and Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2007 and 2010 respectively. He is currently pursuing the PHD degree at the Yildiz Technical University and The University of Akron with support of international doctoral research fellowship program of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. He has been working as a research assistant at Yildiz Technical University for 5 years. His research interests are electric vehicle drive systems, traction inverters, paralleling different type and rate of semiconductor switches for power electronic applications and control of electric machines.

 

 

yasminYasemin Onal was born in Giresun, Turkey, in 1976. She received her electrical teacher degree from Kocaeli University in 2000 and her Ph.D. from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, Anadolu University, Eskisehir, Turkey, in 2011. She is currently an assistant professor in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, Bilecik Seyh Edebali University, Bilecik, Turkey. Her research areas include power quality analysis and signal processing
