Dr. Stanley was named a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America. She received her plaque at a ceremony at this year’s annual meeting of the Gerontological Society of America in Boston, MA (November, 2018).

Dr. Stanley awarded Faculty Research Summer Fellowship from UA!
Dr. Stanley was awarded an internal fellowship from the University of Akron for her proposal entitled, The Malleability of Age Deficits in Emotion Perception. This award will enable Dr. Stanley to conduct research during the Summer 2016 studying how expertise in American Sign Language influences age differences in emotion perception. Emotions and Aging Lab attends DeafNation Expo!
Dr. Stanley, Halley Cooper-Shumway, Skyler Pierce, and Rachel Martin collected data for the American Sign Language (ASL) Expertise study at the DeafNation Expo in Columbus on April 16.
