This blog uses historical materials and social media to bring often overlooked voices from The University of Akron’s past into today’s conversations. We’re adding to the celebration of UA’s Sesquicentennial by working with The University of Akron Archives and other local archives. Our goal is to highlight student voices from the past that would otherwise go unheard.
We are taking advantage of social media outlets to focus attention on these students. We’re imagining the lives, experiences, and social concerns of people currently hidden in the archives, bringing them to life through blogs, Instagram, Facebook, and other social media.
