(2) What about your non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a
judge?
I not only have experience in civil law working as a Judicial Staff
Attorney, but I have extensive criminal law experience as well. I worked
at both the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office and the Cuyahoga
County Public Defender’s Office, researching and trying numerous
cases. I also worked at two law firms in private practice. Before I started
my legal career I obtained a Master of Arts degree and was a board
member for The Cleveland Sculpture Center. I did extensive research
and writing, and contributed to and co-authored two publications with
the Library of Congress.

(3) Why are you running for this particular court seat?
I am currently employed at Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court as
a Judicial Staff Attorney. I have worked for the Court’s General Division
for over 13 years, and have extensive knowledge and experience
handling civil cases. Civil cases make up approximately 70 percent of a
Judge’s docket at the General Division of Common Pleas Court.
I also have extensive experience working as both a Prosecutor and a
Public Defender on criminal cases. This unique experience of being
both a Prosecutor and Public Defender has taught me the importance
of being honest, impartial, and fair. I have been an attorney in excellent
standing for twenty years. I have the work ethic, experience, skills, and
knowledge to preside over both civil and criminal cases as an impartial
and excellent Judge. Thus, I know that I am an excellent candidate to
serve as a Judge for the entire community.
