(2) What about your non-judicial legal experience qualifies you to be a judge?

I served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for over 15 years prior to being elected Judge. As an Assistant Prosecutor, I worked in multiple units in the Prosecutor\’s Office including the Community Based Prosecution Unit and the Major Trial Unit. In addition, I worked in the Elder Protection Section of the Major Trial Unit where I prosecuted crimes against the elderly. At the end of my tenure in the Prosecutor\’s Office, I was a Supervisor of the General Felony Unit. Prior to my employment with the Prosecutor\’s Office, I was in private practice.
