Tri-C, Mandel Humanities Center

The chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities will serve as keynote speaker at the first community forum hosted by the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Humanities Centerat Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®). Students will work with the City Club of Cleveland to organize the forum, which will address issues in Northeast Ohio. The forum will essentially serve as a “capstone” for the center’s first class of Mandel Scholars.
Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh, Starter Grant Award

The SACP/SSP Starter Grant Awards are given to encourage high-quality, innovative research by beginning chemistry professors. Two $40,000 awards will be granted: one award from the Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh in the area of analytical chemistry and one award from the Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh in the area of spectroscopy.
