Dr. Rajeev Gupta is an assistant professor in the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Akron, Akron, Ohio. He earned the Ph.D. degree in Materials Engineering from the Monash University, Australia in year 2010, and B.Tech. in Materials & Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Prior to joining the University of Akron in November 2014, he was a research fellow at the Monash University, and then a research academic at the Deakin University, Australia. Rajeev’s primary research interests lie in the broad areas of corrosion and material engineering including structure/processing/property relationships, passivity, corrosion initiation and propagation in metallic materials, alloy design, high temperature oxidation, and electrochemical methods to produce multicomponent metallic and ceramic coatings. |
