High School Students

Sedigheh Rashidi, a doctoral student who works on high-temperature oxidation project at the Laboratory for Advanced Materials and Corrosion, supervised and mentored a group of students from local high schools on their research project. The group of students designed and conducted their research project on high temperature oxidation of mild steel and stainless steel under the supervision of Ms. Rashidi. They presented their findings in the 2019 Women in Engineering Summer Camp and were selected as the winner for their outstanding poster. Ms. Rashidi also hosted and supervised another group of high school students in the laboratory in 2018.
