A Variety of Accomplishments for Procházka

David Procházka has been uniquely busy this year.

Musikproduktion Jürgen Höflich published three scores with new introductions by David Procházka.  For Darius Milhaud’s Cantate de psaumes (https://repertoire-explorer.musikmph.de/wp-content/uploads/vorworte_prefaces/4232.html), David tracked down a live recording that was only available at the Cleveland Institute of Music.  He also wrote about Nikolai Tcherepnin’s 1903 ballet Le pavillon d’Armide (https://repertoire-explorer.musikmph.de/wp-content/uploads/vorworte_prefaces/4148.html) and Henry Hadley’s Symphonic Fantasia (https://repertoire-explorer.musikmph.de/wp-content/uploads/vorworte_prefaces/4119.html).  For the last work, David had the Library of Congress digitize a recording of a 1938 performance by the Los Angeles Federal Symphony, which was broadcast and recorded as part of the Federal Music Project.

That’s quite a variety of accomplishments, David!  Nicely done!
