The Mesfin Tsige Lab is a theoretical and computational polymer science group based in the Goodyear Polymer Center at the University of Akron, Akron, OH. Our team consists of researchers from diverse science and engineering backgrounds, united by a shared goal: to explore and understand some of the most fascinating phenomena in materials science, with a special focus on polymers. Our research spans a range of topics, including soft condensed matter physics, the structure and dynamics of molecules at surfaces and interfaces, the elastic and failure behavior of thermosetting polymers, molecular transport through nanostructured materials, and the interaction of water with surfaces.
