Announcement from the Ohio Federal Research Network
The release of the Ohio Federal Research Network Challenge Problem Request for White Papers will be delayed to mid or late July 2017.
There are two key reasons for the delay: (1) we are awaiting the outcome of the Ohio State Budget for FY18 and FY19 and (2) we are thoroughly assessing options to make sure the first Challenge Problem is a value added activity for our national lab partners and for the Ohio National Guard and a systems challenge for the participants.
Challenge Problem Process: As soon as we have framed the Challenge Problem – the Team will frame the proposed process for this procurement. It could have some changes from the initial research project process. Our current intent is to have several kick off meetings on the project before we release the RFP.
We should have a clearer picture of the detailed timeline and process by early July. By then the Ohio State budget will be passed and we will have framed the proposed procurement process.
As soon as we have everything ready to go, we will provide you an update.
