Joseph Anand was selected for the BME Summer Internship by the BEST Medicine Fair 2014 for his project entitled “Produce Enhancing Automated Circadian Emulator Refrigerator”. The Bridging Engineering, Science and Technology (BEST) Medicine engineering fair, Northeast Ohio’s premier engineering fair devoted exclusively to students interested in exploring biomedical engineering (http://www.uakron.edu/bestmedicine/).  Joseph is a home-schooled high school age student. He joined the BISS Lab in June 2014 and is currently building a microendoscope for cervical cancer detection in low- and medium-income countries (LMIC).
