04/21/2014: a review article entitled “Emerging Optical Techniques for Detection of Oral, Cervical and Anal Cancer in Low-Resource Settings”, by coauthors Bing Yu, Daron G. Ferris, Yang Liu and Vivek Krishna Nagarajan, has been published by Austin Journal of Biomedical Engineering, Volume 1 Issue 2 – 2014.

04/18/2014: Dr. Yu has been selected for receiving the 2014 Firestone Research Initiative Fellowship Award. The Fellowship will support his research on noninvasive evaluation of the efficacy of anti-hypoxia drugs in cancer therapy.

4/10/2014: Dr. Yu will present a poster “Diffuse reflectance spectroscopy of epithelial tissue with controlled probe-to-tissue pressure” at the 2014 OSA Topical Meeting on Biomedical Optics (BIOMED), in Miami, FL.

03/1/2014: Dr Yu’s paper “Diffuse reflectance spectroscopy of epithelial tissue with a smart fiber-optic probe” has been published by Biomedical Optics Express.
