A 1-day workshop on community infrastructure needs for analog circuit design in NE Ohio was organized and held at Case Western Reserve University (on Aug 18). The workshop is part of an ongoing NSF project between CWRU and the University of Akron. Dr. Sankar Basu (NSF) and Dr. Mingoo Seok (Columbia University) gave keynotes. More details here:

Two papers, by Jin Wei, Gihan Mendis and Arjuna Madanayake, have been accepted at 2017 Wireless Innovation Forum Conference on Communications Technologies and Software Defined Radio (WinnComm).
The papers are 1) Deep Learning-based Intelligent Method for Automatic Modulation Classification in Cognitive Radios, and 2) Deep Learning-based Cognitive Radar System for Micro-UAS Detection and Classification.
