Legislative Branch Members

Hey Zips! I'm Cam Feezel, a senior majoring in Financial Management and minoring in Pre-Law, and I'm serving as the Senate Chair in USG this year. I'm also involved with the Pre-Law Society, where I serve as the President. I've previously served in USG as Student Body Vice President and Director of Finance, where I worked to expand campus resources like student org. funding and textbook accessibility, and promote inclusivity in the Zips community. I've also represented students in the Faculty Senate, University Council, Aramark Committee, and Springfest Committee. I'm excited to continue representing the UA student body this year in the Senate!

Hi Zips! I’m Ali Winters, a second-year Sport Analytics major and the Vice Senate Chair/Senator-At-Large for the Legislative Branch. Last year, I served as a First-Year Senator in USG and am excited to return to the organization while taking on a bigger role and continuing to represent UA's student body. Also at UA, I am involved in Greek life where I am a member of Alpha Delta Pi as their Director of New Member Experience and I am an executive member on the Panhellenic Council as the Vice President of Judicial Affairs. I also am a big Zips sports fan and am an active member of the AK-Rowdies. I have always loved being involved in my community and can not wait to continue that this school year! Go Zips and Go USG!

Hey Zips! I'm Hania Rahman, a senior in biology and senator-at-large and chair of the student engagement committee in USG. I have previously worked with USG and Aramark to incorporate dining ideas and accommodate for students at the university. At UA, I am a Bierce Library tutor, board member of the AK-Rowdies, member of the Pre-dental club, MSA, and EA, and work in the Olson Lab for research! I also volunteer at many outside organizations like the food bank, hospitals, and daycares. In my free time, I go to the gym and enjoy painting. I'm looking forward to a great year with all of you!

Hey Zips! I'm Kylie, a Sophomore Computer Information Systems major on the Programming and Software Development track here at UA! Apart from being the Senator for the College of Engineering and Polymer Science and the Facilities, Amenities, Services, and Transportation (FAST) Committee Chair for USG, I am also a LEAP Mentor for the Emerging Leaders Program, the Vice President of Communications for the Panhellenic Council, a Women in Engineering Ambassador, and a UAkron Social Media Ambassador! I am also involved in the Williams Honors College, Sigma Lambda Honorary and Alpha Delta Pi, and work doing social media for the Student Union and Admissions! I'm so excited for another amazing year of USG!

Hello, my name is Jeremy Sanfrey and I am a second-year Political Science student serving as Senator At-Large in USG. I began serving last year in this role towards the end of the second semester, and as someone who believes in legislative change, I look forward to serving this year to help make UA the best it can be for all students, and will work as a tireless advocate to achieve this goal. I have worked as Student Representative to my City Council and will carry the many learned experiences into this role. Additionally, I am an Eagle Scout and a nature and bird enthusiast. To conclude, I am honored to be a part of USG and I look forward to working with my fellow Senators on behalf of our fellow students!

Hi Zips! I'm Leah Schuhart, a second-year Political Science major and a Senator At-Large in USG. This is my first year as a member of student government and I am super excited to be getting involved in projects that will benefit the students body here on campus. Here at the University of Akron, I am also involved in Pre-Law Society, where I am currently serving as the Director of Communications. Outside of school, I am spending a lot of time traveling to various fairs to help serve as an advocate for agriculture, particularly the involvement of youth in agricultural fairs, as part of my role as the 2024 Ohio Fairs' Queen. I am looking forward to an exciting year with my fellow Zips!

Hi my name is Ian Clark-Kelley, and I am a sophomore majoring in Political science. In USG I am a senator at large. I’m also actively involved in political organizations on campus, including the College Republicans and Turning Point USA. In my free time I enjoy working out, going golfing and hanging out with my friends.

Hi Zips! My name is Marina Nichols and I'm currently a second-year student majoring in political science and minoring in psychology. As the Senator for the Williams Honors College, I'm excited to serve as the liaison between the Honors College and USG! Across campus, I am part of an organization for women in politics called IGNITE, Sigma Lambda, the Honors College, and Delta Gamma, a women's fraternity where I serve as the Director of Scholarship and Honor Board member. I also love to get involved with intramurals. Outside of school, I work at the University of Akron School of Law as a student assistant and at Brennan Manna & Diamond, a local law firm, where I work as a docket clerk. My hobbies include reading, eating (especially trying new foods), and going on hikes!

Hello Everyone! My name is Clayton Breon. I am a first-year political science major, and I serve as a Senator for the Buchtel College or Arts and Sciences. Outside of USG, I am involved in Pre-Law Society, the College Republicans, and Turning Point USA. Off campus, I am involved with a grassroots non-profit organization named Americans for Prosperity Action. I am an avid football fan, and my hobbies include singing and exercising. I am SO charged to be serving in USG as a Senator for the Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences. Go Zips!

Hello my name is Marshall Knapp and I am the Senator for the College of Business here at the University of Akron. I am a senior who is double majoring in Sales management/Marketing with an Entrepreneurship minor and a healthcare selling certificate. I look forward to serving the community who has given me so much in my final year here. Go zips!

Hey Zips! My name is Nick Raymond and I am a Senior studying Political Science. This is my first (and last) year serving as Senator for Off Campus Living but I have been heavily involved in the campus community in years past. I served as the Vice-President of the College Republicans for three years and I founded the University of Akron Knights of Columbus just this year! My mission as a Senator is to improve the quality of life for students at the University of Akron by advocating for the interests of Off Campus Students. Hi Zips! I am Megan McCracken and I am a first year Civil Engineering student and the Senate Clerk for Undergraduate Student Government. Outside of USG, I am involved in Women in Engineering, American Society of Civil Engineers, Elevate, Engineers for a Sustainable World, the Zips Precious Plastic Committee, and I am a member of the Williams Honors College. I am so excited to serve in student government and experience my next 4 years as a Zip!
