CENTER FOR CONSTITUTIONAL LAW FELLOWSHIPS

The Akron Center for Constitutional Law (CCL) is accepting applications for student fellowships for the 2015-16 academic year. Fellows work with the Center on research and public education related to recent developments in constitutional law. Current projects include tracking new U.S. Supreme Court decisions, adapting the Center’s resources to social media, and researching the history of gender and the constitution. The fellowship begins in Summer 2015 and fellows receive a small stipend for the part-time work. During the academic year, fellows are involved fully in the work of the Center, which includes opportunities for research, conferences, externships, editing the online journal, organizing moot court and paper competitions, mentorship by Con Law professors, and community public speaking. Fellows also have the opportunity to write their GWR thesis under the direction of the Center director.

It is expected that there will be three to five fellowships available. If interested, please submit your application to the CCL Director, Professor Tracy Thomas by March 31, 2015 at thomast@uakron.edu. Your application should include a letter explaining your interest in the area of constitutional law and a current resume including overall GPA and grades in all Con Law related courses. For questions please contact Professor Thomas, and for more information on the Center, go to http://www.uakron.edu/law/constitutionallaw/index.dot.
