DTP – General Meeting – Monday, Oct. 4, 5 pm, W-210

Delta Theta Phi will be holding their General Meeting on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 5 pm in W-210. We will be discuss upcoming events, community service opportunities, and leadership positions that are available. Everyone is welcome. Food will be provided!! Learn about practicing law as in-house counsel – Great Networking Opportunity for all students!

Barry Fromm, a 1980 UA Law School graduate who is the President and CEO of the Value Recovery Group (the holding company for a number of corporations) will be speaking today (Wednesday, September 29) from 5 to 6 p.m. in West Hall Room 214.  He will be speaking  about his career path, his philosophy as an entrepreneur and the proper role for attorneys acting as inside counsel.  He employs a large staff of lawyers in his businesses that are headquartered in a suburb of Columbus.  This is an opportunity to network with a potential employer and to gain an insight into what  business employers are looking for from internal lawyers.  All students are welcome to attend Professor Spring’s class for this presentation.

You may have noticed that the AABA Ohio is creating a buzz across Northeast Ohio.  We invite you to see what the buzz is about.

AABA Ohio General Body Meeting
Wednesday, October 13, 2010, 5:30 pm

Now that AABA Ohio is becoming more active, we would like to gather members, potential members, and anyone interested in the Asian Bar to help set a new course for the Asian American Bar Association of Ohio.  Get involved and shape the future of the AABA!

The agenda will include reports back from the various groups working on the issues that the attendees at the first General Meeting decided were important for the organization – Mentorship, Career Development, Community Service, Social Networking, Membership, and Bar Liaison/ Increasing AABA Visibility.  We will also be planning upcoming events.
