Akron Law Admission Ambassadors are student volunteers who assist the Admissions Office by representing Akron Law from the incredibly valuable law student perspective. The Ambassador Program is structured so students may select the level of commitment to the Admissions Office that works best with their schedule and interests – from volunteering at an Open House to leading hour-long tours throughout the year.
If you would like to serve as an Admission Ambassador this year, please do the following two things:
- Complete the Admission Ambassador Interest form at www.uakron.edu/law/admissions/ambassador.dot. The Admissions Office will review submissions to this form in the coming weeks and assign students to the various tasks within the Admission Ambassador Program.
- Come to one of two training sessions (Tuesday, September 27 at 12:20 pm in W-214 or Wednesday, September 28 at 5 pm in L-167). All Admission Ambassadors are expected to attend a training session. If you have a schedule conflict and absolutely can’t make it to either session, please email Adam Messner at apm@uakron.edu so that we can make other arrangements with you to discuss the program in person.
Requirements to serve as an Admission Ambassador are as follows:
- At least 2.3 cumulative GPA
- Successful completion of first semester of law school (first year students who want to be Admission Ambassadors may begin in the spring semester)
- Friendly, welcoming, and professional
Please note that you may claim up to five (5) hours toward your Pro Bono/Community Service graduation requirement by serving as an Admission Ambassador.
Please address any questions regarding the Admission Ambassador program to Adam Messner at apm@uakron.edu.
