ON-CAMPUS INTERVIEWS – J.M. SMUCKER COMPANY – Orville, OH – September 20, 2011. The J.M. Smucker Company seeks a full-time summer law clerk. Smucker has updated their posting to note that the company offers the benefit of intern housing assistance, for those that qualify based on proximity, to ensure interns have a positive experience and are financially able to afford living for the length of the internship. The selected clerk will receive exposure to a wide variety of corporate legal matters including general business law, advertising, food law, SEC regulations, IP work, and more. CPPO announces summer 2012 K&L Gates Public Interest Fellowship Program
The CPPO has received information about the K&L Gates LLP Public Interest Fellowship Program for the summer of 2012. This program offers law students the opportunity to assist public service organizations located in Pittsburgh, PA. Each summer, the program awards up to three successful candidates a fellowship that enables them to spend four weeks of their summer working at one of four designated public interest organizations: Allegheny Conference on Community Development, Education Law Center, KidsVoice and the neighborhood Legal Services Association. In 2012, each recipient will be paid a stipend of $1,000 per week for his or her public interest service.

Attention Class of 2012 — Third District Court of Appeals of Ohio seeks judicial law clerks
The CPPO has learned that the Court of Appeals of Ohio, Third Appellate District, in Lima is seeking three full-time Judicial Law Clerks, beginning August 2012. The salary is $54,000 annually. Applicants must be 2012 graduates. Top 1/3 preferred. To apply, send resume, law school transcript, short writing sample (15 pages or less) and a descriptive one page cover letter outlining why you are interested in the position, how you will be an asset to the Court and any additional information that would help the Court in making its hiring decision.
