IPTLA – IP Management Presentation – Sept. 28, 12:15, L-167

Wayne Watkins will speak about IP management this Wednesday, September 28, at 12:15pm in Room 167.  For companies, entrepreneurs, and even universities IP can be a business asset rather than simply as a legal right.  IP management examines strategies to maximize the value of IP.

Wayne Watkins serves as Associate Vice President for Research at The University of Akron and as Adjunct Professor and Intellectual Property Fellow at The University of Akron School of Law.  He directs The University of Akron programs in intellectual property management, emerging enterprise creation and support, technology-based economic development, and university/industry collaborations.  He has taught courses in Intellectual Property Management, Technology and Innovation, Business Policy, and Global Business.  He has degrees in mechanical engineering (B.S.M.E.), business (M.B.A.), and law (J.D.).

All are invited!

Videographers in the School of Law, Sept. 27 and 28

Over the course of the next two days, Rubber City Productions Film Company will be at the law school gathering b-roll footage for our website. They will not be entering classrooms (with a couple of pre-arranged exceptions), but they will be filming in the other common areas of the law school. We don’t expect this to cause any disruption in daily law school activities, but wanted everyone to be aware that filming will be taking place.

Please feel free to contact Adam Messner (apm@uakron.edu) or Diana Vickers (diana@uakron.edu) with any questions.
